Judith Edwards is an experienced therapist and trainer who uses the creative approach of Integrated Emotion Release, which she designed with her husband James Edwards. She combines counselling techniques with additional therapies including CranioSacral Therapy, Reiki and SomatoEmotional Release®.
Her unique approach offers creative solutions that effectively and efficiently address the source(s) of depression, anxiety and trauma; using body cues to adjust beliefs, modify cellular memory and rewrite emotional history. Emotional pain is addressed through a unique, multi-faceted, heart-centered approach. Judith is a passionate healer.
Judith is certified and insured through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She has a Bachelor of Education Degree, from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling, from San Diego State University. Additionally she is a DONA International trained Birth Doula and Postpartum Doula. Judith taught Home Economics, Life Transitions, and was a school counsellor in her 30 years in education. She has been working in private practice for 10 years using an innovative therapeutic approach that works for high risk and discouraged clients.
Since the birth of her wonderful grandson she now specializes in support for mothers creating a healthy postpartum experience with strong family connections through:

- Postpartum Doula support to facilitate healthy family transitions
- Counselling to resolve postpartum anxiety and depression
- Counselling to minimize the impact of past trauma and abuse on pregnancy, birth and the postpartum experience
Her specialty is solutions for co-dependency, including self care and the appropriate care of others. Judith has an innovative and creative therapeutic approach.
